Taiwan Day 1

1. to Taipei on Jetstar 3k 721
We checked in at 5 am, yes its a "torture", but we had our first damage done in DFS. Who can resist the skincare sets that are on mega sales???

2. We took 4 hrs to reach Taipei. Their T1 is having a mega reno so you will find it quite troublesome to walk a long distance to immigration. But everything is smooth eventually n fast. The sign boards are very detailed so you wont have any problems looking for the bus tiicketing counter. We bought the Guo Guang bus tickets as they will ferry passengers to the Taipei Station bus interchange and changed into a smaller bus directly to Xi Men Ding. You may think its very troublesome but actually its not. The Guo Guang bus ticket costs only NT150 and its free when you change to the smaller bus.
Its abt one hour journey from airport to hotel and we immendiately checked in. We chose Future Star aka 明日饭店 because it was highly recommended by my babe, Jeslin and its just outside of Xi Men Ding Mrt Station and next to Xi Men Ding. I personally feels its location is the best. Even better than Rainbow, and cheaper somemore.

3. As its already late afternoon after we settled down so we decide to explore Xi Men Ding first. We found a very nice tea store and they really have such nice brewed ice tea till we are addicted!!! Its call 天仁茗茶... Its a much try.

4. Next, we took a cab down to thos Cats Themed Cafe called Minimal Cafe . Its very cheap to cab in Taiwan so if there's any place you are not sure, you just can cab to the location. This cafe is really full of cats wondering around. Its more of a cafe and its a nice, cosy place for Afternoon Tea.

5. Because the cafe is super near Shi Da night market, so we walked all the way down and explored our first Night Market. Further damages were done and I personally bough 5 boxes of fake lashes that have transparent tapes for my babes. Its only NT 150 per box and they were so sincerely in giving discount so per box is about NT 100, less than SGD $6... But this night market will have the most range of clothings and accessories compared to the rest of night markets.

Lesson learnt for day 1:
- Taiwanese don really know English so pls don speak to them in English
- BRING UR OWN CHILLI!!!! They don even serve chilli in Mac!!!
- The people are really very friendly and service-oriented...
- Pls bring your own shopping bags as some shops don provide plastic bags or its chargable.
